Collection of claims

Collection of claims B2B and B2C

Do you have customers who do not pay or pay poorly and also do not respond to your payment requests? If you would like to keep having a good relationship with them, this is an annoying situation. Chasing unpaid invoices is frustrating, labour-intensive and costs extra money. In addition, it may result in you, as an entrepreneur, having payment problems yourself and you don’t want to think about that.

In all phases of the debt collection process, we are happy to put our expertise and experience to work in order to prevent that it will come to this. We offer suitable help for this for setting up your reminder procedure up to the effective collection of your doubtful invoices.

The latter we first do through amicable means. After you have handed over your invoices of which the payment term is lapsed to our office, we contact your customer immediately in a correct and effective manner and attempt to motivate them to pay or to arrange something without judicial intervention.

If this does not happen to result in the desired result, then the collection may also be continued judicially in consultation with you. For this we have our own legal department with very experienced senior legal experts at our disposal. All of this is supported by our data-driven systems, high-performance communication technologies and sophisticated use of software.

The tone that makes the music

Thanks to our years of experience, we have learned that one customer is not like another. While one customer reacts well to an email, the other appreciates a telephone call. Listening carefully, personal attention and our years of experience ensure the best result.

Possible outcomes

We normally always start a collection procedure by amicable means. This trajectory has four possible outcomes:

  • Direct payment
Your customer pays the total claim immediately after our first collection letter, including interest and collection costs.
  • Payment scheme
Your customer does not have the possibility to pay the amount in one go. We will then make payment arrangements in consultation with the customer in question and oversee compliance.
  • Compromise
It occurs that the outstanding payment appears to be related to disagreement about the quality of the delivery or related matters. In such cases we attempt to act as an intermediary and arrive at a compromise acceptable for both parties.
  • No response whatsoever
Of course, it may happen to us just like it did to you and we may also not get any response. In that case we will inform you about the legal feasibility of the claim and whether an awardable judgment may also be realised. At that time, you determine whether or not to proceed to take legal measures or if you want to refrain from doing so.
